The bread and butter on the Grand. Dead-drift subsurface flies through seams and feeding lanes.

Hare's Ear Nymph

#12–16 · Natural / Gold bead

Universal confidence fly. Fish it anywhere, always.

Pheasant Tail Nymph

#14–18 · Copper wire rib

Deadly in clearer water or when fish are selective.

Tungsten Bead Caddis

#12–16 · Olive / Brown

Heavy bead gets to the bottom fast in higher flows.

Stonefly Nymph

#8–12 · Black / Brown, heavy

Big meal for big fish. Fish along the bottom in fast runs.

Zebra Midge

#18–22 · Black/silver or red/silver

When nothing else works in low clear water.

Sulphur Nymph

#14–16 · Yellow / Olive

Pre-hatch nymphing — fish the last hour before hatch begins.

Woolly Bugger

#4–8 · Olive, Black, Brown

Olive in normal conditions, black in stained water, white in high flows.

Sculpin Pattern

#4–6 · Tan / Brown, weighted

Browns eat sculpins year-round. Dead-drift then strip erratically.

Clouser Minnow

#4–8 · Chartreuse/White or Olive/White

Excellent in slightly elevated or stained water.

Articulated Streamer

#2–4 · Natural or White, jointed

Big fly for trophy fish. Strip fast, pause — erratic triggers reaction strikes.

Evening staple. Caddis hatches reliable May–September.

All-purpose dry when you see rises but can't ID the hatch.

Sulphur Comparadun

Match the evening sulphur hatch May–July. Low-riding profile.

High-floating. Also works as a dry-dropper indicator.

Perch in clear water, firetiger in stained conditions, gold in low light.
